The DAV Education Board was established in
1989 with the blessings of Prof. Ved Vyas ji. He was the first
Chairman of the Board. It was created with the chief aim of
providing academic support to the DAV Public Schools. With
this major objective in view the board began its journey by
first introducing common examination in Class VIII in all
Public Schools.

The first year i.e. in March 1990 saw about 4200
candidates from 175 schools joining this common Class VIII
examination. Steadily it started addressing itself to the other
objectives. The board addressed itself to the preparation of
curriculum guidelines for classes LKG to V, instructional material,
which include text books and other educational aids such as
educational kit, educational film etc. The evaluation system has
further been strengthened to make it more scientific with an aim of
diagnosing the problem areas and suggest remedial measures.
Simultaneously programs for class IX was also added. The board
functions under bye laws,passed by the DAV College Managing
Committee, which give its working a specific direction.

THE VISION
To
facilitate quality education in schools by designing need based
instructional material and arrange for its evaluation in the, formal
& informal mode of learning. To bring uniformity in the standard
of education in all DAV schools by having common curriculum, similar
course material and system of course material and system of
evaluation.
